Possible Chicken Wing Shortage for Super Bowl Sunday

31 01 2009

With only one day away from the Superbowl XLIII showdown between the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers, everything appears to be perfect in what is expected to be an entertaining game.

This Sunday, Kurt Warner, 37, could lead the Cardinals to their first Superbowl in the team’s history. The grizzly quarterback has helped the Arizona offense to rank among the top of the league this season. Warner threw for over 4,500 yards this season and added 30 touchdowns. He had three receivers go over 1,000 yards receiving. The passing offense has been so dominate that the “Greatest Show on Turf,” has become a thing of the past. Warner looks to be only the third quaterback to win a superbowl with two different teams, after winning his first with the St. Louis Rams in 2000.

The Steelers have played just as well, but for contrasting reasons. Pittsburgh is a team known for their physical play, have done just that this season. The defense has led the NFL in points allowed (13.9) and yards per game (237.2). The team came into the playoffs as the 2nd seed in the AFC, but have beaten the San Diego Chargers and the Baltimore Ravens moving on to the superbowl and possibly a second championship in four years.

For those not attending the game, it’s time to put on your favorite jersey, get a babysitter for the kids and prepare for the festivities. There is one problem though, there could be one major player out of the food spread line-up.
